Not for Profit Bookkeeping provides effective low-cost support to charities, sporting clubs, community groups and other not for profit organisations to enable them to optimise their use of limited resources and comply with obligations to stakeholders and regulators.
Our Vision
Where the volunteers, staff and management of not-for-profit organisations are empowered through means including access to timely user-friendly information to optimise the resources available to an organisation and to be accountable to its stakeholders.
This is so that all those involved with the organisation can focus on furthering the cause and achieving the goals of an organisation.
Who is Not for Profit Bookkeeping?
My name is John Burke. I am a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand with over 37 years as a Chartered Accountant. I am the sole director and shareholder of The Business Physician Pty Limited trading as Not for Profit Bookkeeping.
At this stage of my career, my focus is on using my skills and experience to make a difference for good. I have been the treasurer or volunteer bookkeeper for many not for profit organisations over the years. It is apparent that many organisations need access to low-cost user-friendly financial management. resources.
As a sole practitioner, I don’t have the overheads of larger accounting practices so I can keep fees affordable. I do the work myself and have a hands-on approach. I don’t outsource, especially to overseas operations.
I am based in Western Sydney but use online accounting and other platforms to support organisations anywhere in Australia.
